Our Story
Colonial Grove Memorial Park was established in 1979 on land that had long been part of the fabric of the eastern Virginia Beach community. The property was acquired by the Jones family and developed as a dedicated place of remembrance for the region.
From those early years to today, Colonial Grove has remained privately owned and family operated — now in its third generation of stewardship. As a private cemetery in Virginia Beach offering traditional burial lots to the public, we have grown alongside this community, caring for its families through some of life’s most significant moments.
We are not a large corporation or a municipal operation. We are a local, family business — and that shapes everything about how we serve the people who trust us.
Honoring Those Who Served
Colonial Grove Memorial Park takes pride in honoring one of the largest military communities in the country. For over 40 years, we have strived to serve our veterans through a personal service mission of exemplary dedication.
In memory of our brave men and women, on Veterans Day, we take pause to remember their sacrifice, alongside the local communities and their families. We welcome Wreaths Across America to our grounds, ensuring that our uniformed service members are memorialized with the dignity and respect they deserve.
